Sabah Adventure Challenge 2008
21st-23rd March 2008
Welcome to the 9th edition of the Sabah Adventure Challenge, scheduled for the 21st-23rd March 2008 in the remote village of Kampung Lobong-Lobong at the foot of Mount Kinabalu.
Over the last 8 years, we have consistently worked hard at changing the dynamics and race routes each year to ensure you had a good mix of activities throughout the three days of competition. For the 2008 race, we will be looking towards longer mountain bike sections, night orienteering both on your bikes and on foot with long, extended hiking sections and the possibility of a 24 hour section for Extreme competitors.
Adventure competitors can expect a good introduction to a multi-day adventure race and an opportunity at completing one of the tougher races in Asia and being a part of a race that began as a weekend of fun among friends and has now developed into a race with a reputation for churning out the very best out of competitors.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sabah if you are visiting mysterious Borneo for the very first time and if you are coming back yet again for the Sabah Adventure Challenge, well done to you for taking up the Challenge.
We dedicate the 2008 race in memory of Mr. Ian Ng, a fellow race director from Singapore who sadly passed away recently from illness as an avid supporter of the Sabah Adventure Challenge and a friend to all of us in the organization.
We hope you will take on the Sabah Adventure and look forward to you signing up.
